Colorado Emergency Managers Conference

The Colorado Emergency Managers (COEM) Conference is the pinnacle event annually for the building relationships among our Colorado partners and staying up-to-date on emergency/disaster trends. This event provides a forum for COVOAD organizations to communicate and collaborate with other VOAD partners, as well as state/national disaster response non-profits, government agencies, and partners from the emergency management community. The COEM Conference is held annually in the Spring, where the Colorado emergency management community gathers to hear from engaging keynote speakers, attend workshops on a variety of topics, and participate in numerous networking opportunities that strengthen the capacity and capabilities of our state partners. One key benefit of attending the conference is that COVOAD members and CO nonprofits are given a free vendor booth with a full conference registration. Please email the COVOAD Executive Committee, [email protected], regarding questions about NGO Agency Tables/Booths. Please join us at the next COEM Conference!

2021 Colorado Emergency Management Conference Statement

The Colorado Emergency Management Conference committee members met and after reviewing the current modeling data and discussing COVID-19 impacts, the Colorado Emergency Management Association (CEMA) and Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management  (DHSEM) made the decision to look at alternatives to an in-person annual conference in February 2021.  An in-person conference will not be scheduled in 2021.

CEMA and DHSEM members are researching virtual conference options.  We will distribute a feedback survey before August 1 to gather your feedback on moving forward with a virtual or web-based conference.  We are committed to providing a valuable conference opportunity for all attendees.
